I Didn’t Check My Bag Rules Until I Was Packing

I made the mistake of assuming my baggage situation would be the same as my trip. While packing for my flight I suddenly wondered how much luggage I could actually take and whether my suitcase was within the applicable limits.
That is when I started looking into Delta Airlines Baggage Fees. I realized that baggage costs and allowances can depend on things like the route, ticket and other booking details so relying on what I remembered from a trip was not the best idea.
I ended up weighing my suitcase and measuring it before deciding what to pack. I also checked my booking because baggage allowances are not necessarily the same for every traveler.
The whole thing took a few minutes but it made me realize how easy it is to overlook baggage rules when you are more focused, on flights and hotels. I would rather spend a few minutes checking than discover a baggage issue at the airport.
