How is everyone preparing for their AP exams?

Post by AnnaTorres » Fri Sep 04, 2026 2:54 pm

I’ve been spending quite a bit of time preparing for my Advanced Placement exam lately, and I’m starting to realize that my original study plan was probably too optimistic.

At first, I thought I could just review my class notes and be ready. After doing some practice questions, I quickly noticed that remembering information is one thing, but actually applying it to exam questions is another.

I’ve started mixing regular review with an Advanced Placement Exam Review Questions. For me, the practice questions have been useful because they show me exactly where I’m making mistakes instead of letting me assume I understand a topic just because I read through it.

I’m still trying to figure out the best way to manage my time. Some days I feel like I’m making good progress, and other days I realize I need to go back and review topics I thought I had already covered.

If you’ve taken an AP exam before, what did you personally find most helpful? Did you spend more time doing practice questions, reviewing notes, watching lessons, or taking full-length practice exams?

I’d also be interested to hear what you wish you had done differently when you were preparing.
