The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Sky is the flagship upgrade of the brand's iconic astronomical swiss replica watches line. Using exquisite mechanical structures to recreate the starry sky and celestial movements, it represents the pinnacle of combining haute horlogerie with astronomical themes. It was launched at Baselworld 2019.
Design Inspiration and Appearance
Inspired by celestial bodies and space exploration, the case design resembles a miniature observatory: 47mm in diameter and 25mm thick, crafted in 18K rose gold with a solid sapphire crystal bezel and a domed sapphire crystal (double anti-reflective). A sapphire window on the side allows direct viewing of the celestial dial. It features a blue alligator leather strap with an 18K rose gold folding clasp; water-resistant to 30 meters.
The celestial dial is made of blued grade 5 titanium, inlaid with hand-engraved constellations and stars in 18K gold. At the center is a hand-engraved titanium globe, housed within a semi-dome of colored sapphire crystal, visually representing the day and night cycle.
