Range Rover Sport brake noise after off road trip – normal or worry?
Took my 2018 Range Rover Sport out to the dunes near Al Qudra last weekend for some light desert driving, and ever since then I've been hearing this faint grinding noise when I brake gently at low speeds, like pulling into a parking spot. It goes away when I brake hard, which makes me think maybe fine sand got between the pad and rotor. I was looking at https://brakepadreplacementdubai.ae/brands/range-rover/ to see if they mention anything about off road use and pad contamination, but I'm still not sure if I should just drive it out or take the wheels off and blow everything out with compressed air. Has anyone else had this happen after a desert trip? Did it go away on its own or did you end up needing new pads? Really don't want to replace them if they're still thick, but the noise is annoying. Appreciate any tips from fellow Rover owners.
